Here I am, Monday morning, December 15th, with just under 3 weeks to go until my 25th birthday. As of Friday, I was down 35 lbs with only 5 more to go. So, today, after a weekend involving bad eating, I am back up 2 more lbs…
I know for a fact that a good chunk of it is water weight from the amount of salt I consumed over the past 2 days, however, to say the least, I’m more than ready to hit the gym tonight again. I took 3 days off and its time to get back to business.
This up and down madness has to stop. I really don’t think I realized how hard the holidays were going to be. And with all these parties still on my calendar, its going to get tougher and tougher to resist. However, I am not one to be so insanely good that I deprive myself of having a good time. Tis the season…right? I think I will just have to live in the gym all the times when I am not enjoying myself celebrating. Luckily, since I have a lot of time off in the coming weeks, I will be able to go just about every day. Also, since I won’t be going to work all day, hopefully I can try out some fun new classes at my gym for some variety…
But when I take the time to sit down and think and really put everything into perspective, this is what I see. New Years Day, every year, a majority of everyone’s New Years resolutions are to get back in shape and lose weight, right? Well, in that case, I am ahead of the game! In my eyes, I have a 35 lb head-start. So this year, I can resolve to lose just a little bit more and to make a pact with myself to maintain and keep it all off forever. Its a lighter load than I would have had to do had I not started this plan 6 months ago, so that makes me feel a lot better
I think I have well deserved the right to enjoy myself over the next few weeks, as long as I continue to kick my own ass at the gym every day. Sounds like a good plan right? Luckily the plan I have been on has be extended thru February, so that will definitely help keep me on track. All the promotion for the diet starts in a week or so, so that will definitely be very exciting! Sometime in January, you may be seeing me in the media! I hope everyone has a great week! The holidays are most definitely upon us…Eat, drink and be merry!
