Why I’m Here

My name is Raquel and I am a curly haired foodie living on the Upper West Side in Manhattan, NY. Originally I started this blog a couple years ago to journal my quest to lose weight and get healthy (hence the Brussels Sprout theme), however now, living a healthy life has become the norm and I have now moved on to simply blogging about the my life and new experiences here in the big city.

Feel free to comment, but beware, this is a place where I like to express myself, it could get ugly ;-)

Hey. Found your blog website from your Yelp profile. Love your blog photo (brussel sprouts). It’s one of my favorite veggies. :)

Thanks for stopping by! Funny you should mention the sprouts, I’m cooking them for dinner as we speak! I could eat the
everyday if I could! How do you cook yours? I boil them first, cut them up then sauté them in a pan with some spray oil, garlic, basil, red pepper flakes and nutmeg….

I like mine nice and simple as well – just steamed and then with some herbs or spices.

cut them in half put them in a pan with salt, pepper, EVOO, and anchovey paste and sautee ohh an finish with some butter spary
